The show, organized by Big Brain Productions in collaboration with DAAR Communications Plc, will be broadcast nationwide on Africa Independent Television (AIT).

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Chief Executive Officer of Big Brain Productions, Mr. Kel Ameobi, described the initiative as a platform designed to merge intelligence with entertainment.

“Big Brain Naija was created with a simple but powerful vision: to build a reality TV show where intelligence meets entertainment,” he said.

Unlike conventional reality shows, Big Brain Naija will feature 37 contestants representing Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The show will also introduce AI-powered judges – a first in African television – to evaluate contestants based on creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial skill. The winner of the inaugural season will receive a grand prize of ₦30 million and a brand-new car.

Chief Operating Officer of Big Brain Naija, Mr. Ossai Ilome, emphasized the show’s mission to promote national unity and showcase the industrious and visionary nature of Nigerian youth.

“Most reality shows do not reflect the intelligence and innovation Nigerians are known for globally. This show is set to change that narrative,” he said.

DAAR Communications CEO, Mr. Marcel Anyalechi, expressed full support for the project, stating that the company would leverage its media platforms to promote the show across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond.

With its unique format and focus on intellectual excellence, Big Brain Naija is poised to redefine reality television in Nigeria and inspire a new generation of thinkers and creators.
