The wait is almost over for fans of Nigerian rising star Shekx Gimba, as he officially gears up to release his brand-new Extended Play (EP) “The Vibe Machine” on October 24, 2025.
The project is one of his most anticipated works yet, and to celebrate, a Listening Party will take place on the same day, giving day-one supporters and industry insiders the first taste of what promises to be a defining moment in his career.
Shekx has grown from a local talent to a recognized force in Nigeria’s Afropop and Afro-fusion scene.
Since 2020, he has been carving his sound which is made up of a mix of infectious rhythms, soulful melodies, and streetwise energy.
His breakout single “4AM” went viral on TikTok in 2023, breaking into the Spotify Viral Top 50 Nigeria and the TurnTable Top 50 singles chart, while also earning him a spot among the Top 5 trending Nigerian artistes on Audiomack.
That success turned heads and firmly introduced him as one of the new voices to watch.
Before The Vibe Machine, Shekx had already shown consistency with his debut EP, Music & School (2022), which cracked the TurnTable Top 50 Albums Chart.
Singles like “Broke Boy”, “BADTIN (Acoustic)”, and “Ma Kpa Mi” followed, further building his reputation for versatility and emotional depth.
By mid-2024, he was ranked No. 5 on TurnTable’s NXT Emerging Top Artistes chart, where he held strong for 10 weeks straight, which was by some referred to as “a great milestone for a young independent artist.”
