Peter Obi Reaffirms Commitment to One-Term Presidency

Peter Obi has restated his pledge to serve only one four-year term if elected President, comparing his vow to historic leaders like Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, and Nelson Mandela – figures whose short tenures left long-lasting legacies.

According to Obi, true leadership isn’t measured by time in office but by meaningful, accountable service.

Acknowledging widespread public mistrust of politicians, he addressed recent skepticism, including remarks that questioned his integrity and mental fitness. Obi maintained that his promise is backed by a proven track record from his time as Governor of Anambra State, where he met key commitments without deviation.

Obi emphasized that impactful leadership doesn’t need eternity to make a difference.

He outlined clear goals achievable within four years: reforming governance, fighting insecurity, improving education and healthcare, reducing poverty, supporting small businesses, and transitioning Nigeria into a production-driven economy.

He concluded with a call to restore trust in leadership and affirmed his unwavering dedication to integrity and transparency, declaring, “A new Nigeria is POssible.”
