Ademola Lookman has rejoined Atalanta’s first-team training following a private meeting with head coach Ivan Juric, marking his first session since being sidelined in August.
Italian media, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, confirmed the Nigerian forward was back with the squad on September 18.
His return comes after a failed summer move to Inter Milan, which led to his temporary exclusion from team activities.
Sources say Lookman addressed his teammates after the meeting, admitting he had endured a “tough summer” but reaffirming his commitment to the club’s campaign.
The 26-year-old has yet to feature for Atalanta this season but could be named in the squad for their upcoming Serie A fixture against Torino.
The club is looking to bounce back after a heavy 4–0 Champions League defeat to PSG.
Lookman was a standout performer last season, and his return is seen as a potential boost for Juric’s side as they aim to recover form both in Italy and Europe.
