A public memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 21 September, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The venue, which seats over 60,000 people, will host thousands of mourners and supporters paying tribute to the late founder of Turning Point USA.

Kirk, 31, was shot and killed on 10 September during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University. His suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was arrested two days later after surrendering to authorities in Utah.

Turning Point USA announced the memorial on social media, describing the event as a celebration of Kirk’s “remarkable life and enduring legacy.”

The organization, headquartered in Arizona, was co-founded by Kirk and has played a prominent role in mobilizing young conservative voters across the United States.

President Donald Trump is expected to attend the service, alongside Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Rubio, speaking before departing for Israel, said he would return in time for the memorial and praised Kirk’s influence on youth political engagement. Arizona holds personal significance for Kirk, who lived in the state with his wife, Erika, and their two children.

On Saturday, Mrs. Kirk made her first public remarks since her husband’s death, delivering an emotional speech from Turning Point USA’s headquarters.

In a livestream, she vowed to continue her husband’s mission and warned those responsible that “the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

President Trump has announced that Kirk will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously, calling him “a giant of his generation and a champion of liberty.”

Kirk’s death has sparked national debate over political violence and free speech on college campuses. He was known for his confrontational style and signature “Prove Me Wrong” debates, which drew large crowds and frequent controversy.

Formal charges against Tyler Robinson are expected to be filed next week. He remains in custody at Utah County Jail.

The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. local time, with doors opening to the public at 8:00 a.m. Registration details have been made available on Turning Point USA’s website.
