DeeOne to Employ Over 700 in GWR Attempt for Longest Stand-Up Comedy Show

Nigerian comedian and reality TV star Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as DeeOne, is gearing up for a historic feat: a 40-hour stand-up comedy marathon aimed at breaking the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest solo performance.

The event, scheduled for October 2–5 in Lagos, will also serve as a massive employment drive, with over 700 people set to be engaged across various roles.

In a video shared on Instagram, DeeOne revealed that approximately 90 individuals will be involved in production, while hundreds more will be hired for catering, ushering, security, logistics, and support services.

“DeeOne’s show is employing over 700 people on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of October,” he captioned the post.

Known for his sharp humor and bold personality, DeeOne’s announcement has sparked excitement across Nigeria’s entertainment scene.

Celebrities including Josh2funny, Teddy A, and Tonto Dikeh have publicly voiced their support, with fans flooding social media to cheer him on.

The record attempt not only showcases DeeOne’s comedic endurance but also reflects his commitment to empowering others through job creation.
