Haruna Ado Haruna (born 13 April 2001), professionally known as Mirror H, is a Nigerian Afrobeats and Afropop singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur from Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Known for his smooth melodies and heartfelt lyrics, he has continued to gain recognition as one of the most promising voices emerging from Northern Nigeria’s Afro soundscape.
Early Life and Education
Haruna Ado Haruna, popularly called Mirrow H, was born in Gwagwalada, Abuja, and raised in Lafia, Nasarawa State. He grew up in a modest family; his father was a civil servant, and his early years were comfortable until his father’s retirement brought financial struggles.
From childhood, Haruna was drawn to music and drawing, often singing around the house, though his grandmother frequently discouraged it. Despite that, his passion never faded. He rekindled his love for music in Junior Secondary School (JSS 2) and recorded his first track in Senior Secondary School (SS1).
He attended Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP) in Lafia, where he studied Architectural Science. Alongside music, he runs a clothing business, balancing entrepreneurship with his artistic ambitions.
Career
Haruna began his career with raw determination and limited resources, recording songs in small studios and promoting them independently.
His Afrobeats and Afropop fusion quickly caught the attention of local audiences, showcasing his ability to blend rhythm, melody, and relatable storytelling.
Between 2022 and 2023, one of his tracks went viral, earning over 10,000 streams on Spotify and gaining 5,000+ monthly listeners before his distribution subscription expired. Despite funding challenges, he has continued to create short promotional videos and share his works across platforms.
