Ibrahim, who had been declared missing on August 17, was found dead on Thursday after colleagues and residents conducted an extensive search across the town. His Bajaj motorcycle remains missing, fueling suspicions of foul play.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adebowale Razaq, has ordered a thorough probe to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death.

“We urge all parties involved to remain calm as Police will investigate the matter and the law will catch up with perpetrators of the heinous crime,” Ayanlade said.

Local sources suggest the incident may be linked to a growing trend of motorcycle thefts in the area. A fellow motorcyclist, who spoke anonymously, expressed concern over rising insecurity.

“We urge Police and other security agencies to help search for these criminals, arrest them and find a lasting solution to the insecurity in Ore because our lives are no longer safe,” he said.

The Police Command has assured the public of its commitment to justice and safety, promising to pursue all leads in the ongoing investigation.
