Godwin Ozotu Attah (born 11 September 1991), professionally known as Ozee, is a Nigerian Afro-Fusion singer, songwriter, and record producer.
He is best known for his single Nasarawa (2023), his Mark Time EP (2021), No Noise EP (2019), and several other releases blending Afrobeat, Pop, R&B, and indigenous Northern Nigerian influences. In addition to his music career, Ozee serves as an officer in the Nigeria Customs Service.
Early life and education
Ozee was born on 11 September 1991 in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He studied Mass Communication at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, a background that later influenced his approach to storytelling and music production. His Northern Nigerian heritage remains a key influence in his sound.
Career
Early career
Ozee began recording music professionally in the 2010s. His early single Push (2018) gained attention as a motivational anthem, combining English and Hausa lyrics.
Rise and EP release
In 2019–2020, he self-produced and released On Top, a soul-stirring inspirational track that showcased his versatility as both an artist and producer.
On 22 October 2021, Ozee released the Mark Time EP, a six-track project featuring songs such as Loke Loke, Man in the Mirror, Wetin Dey, Cheddah, Jiyebe, and Ole. He produced five of the six tracks, underlining his skill as a multi-talented creator.
Recent works (2023–present)
Ozee gained wider recognition with the release of Nasarawa on 20 January 2023, a tribute to his home state. The song established him as a cultural voice from Northern Nigeria.
Between 2023 and 2024, he released additional singles including Under Pressure, Down Down, Balling Boy, It’s Too Many, and Wata.
In 2025, Ozee released Metamorphosis (February 21) and Lead My Way (August 6), signaling a new creative phase in his career.
