Pastor Lazarus Muoka, General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, has suspended his son, Benhail Muoka, following his recent wedding to Precious Duru.
The decision, announced during a sermon aired on Chosen Son TV, was based on what Pastor Muoka described as a breach of the church’s spiritual standards.
The wedding, held on July 26, drew attention online for its lavish and modern presentation, which some critics said contradicted the ministry’s teachings on modesty and sanctity.
Pastor Muoka stated that his son’s conduct during the ceremony did not reflect the values upheld by the church.
“Even me, at this point in time, I still discipline my children. One of them wedded yesterday, I disciplined him last night,” he said during the sermon.
Benhail has been relieved of his ministry duties, with the pastor emphasizing that the suspension is not punitive but intended to guide his son toward deeper spiritual maturity.
The move has sparked mixed reactions, with some praising the pastor’s commitment to doctrine, while others question the public nature of the discipline.
