Her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling a staggering 4.002 million units in its first week.

According to Billboard and Luminate data, this includes 3.48 million in physical sales and 522,600 from streaming, making it the largest single-week album sales in the modern era – surpassing Adele’s 25, which previously held the record with 3.482 million units.

The album’s lead single, The Fate of Ophelia, also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, racking up 92.5 million official U.S. streams, marking Swift’s 13th No. 1 single on the chart.

In addition to her success in music, Swift’s extended promotional film, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, topped the U.S. box office this week, completing her historic trifecta. The film, which blends concert footage with behind-the-scenes storytelling, drew massive crowds and outperformed several major studio releases.

She also became the first artist in history to occupy the entire top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 on three separate occasions. With The Life of a Showgirl, she went even further – claiming the top 12 spots on the chart, an unprecedented feat.

Tracks like Opalite, Elizabeth Taylor, Father Figure, and Actually Romantic joined The Fate of Ophelia in dominating the chart.

With this release, Taylor Swift now holds 15 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, breaking her tie with Drake and JAY-Z to become the solo artist with the second-most No. 1 albums in history – only behind The Beatles, who have 19.

Her achievement is not just a personal milestone but a cultural moment, reinforcing her status as one of the most influential artists of the 21st century.

Critics and fans alike have praised The Life of a Showgirl for its theatrical flair, lyrical depth, and genre-blending production.
